Risk. Axis and Allies. Warhammer 40K. Sid Meier’s Civilization. World of Warcraft. Faster than Light. Steam. We have quite the collection of board and computer games, and I love he has a hobby he’s enjoyed since he was a child.
But.
My husband is the spiritual head of our household. He makes it to daily mass before work, meets with a spiritual director, walks the Stations of the Cross after Sunday mass with our kids, and leads them in prayer every night. While I’m happy to support his gaming hobby, he and I both know he needs spiritual support as well. It isn’t easy being a Catholic man in today’s culture, and the truth is, he needs all the help he can get.
Chances are, you have a Catholic man in your life, too. Husbands, brothers, fathers, good friends, even priests and deacons – all of them benefit from – and need – our prayerful, consistent support. As you begin your annual Christmas shopping, take a look at the offerings of these talented Catholic offerings, perfect for encouraging the Catholic man.

Okay, a bar of soap that smells like beer? That is *really* cool!! Although, does the smell stay on, because I wouldn’t want my husband to be walking around smelling like stale beer or an alcoholic…
And, honestly, I thought it was candy from the picture! Not sure I want “chocolate looking” soap laying around – I (not the kids) might forget and take a bite.
Only joking… I think.
That said, I love this, and may use it to guide some gifts for Catholic men I know in our life! Thank you for sharing!
